INTROSPECTION: MUMBAI TERROR ATTACK

Now that the heat over wanting the scalp of the Politicians has cooled down, the common Indian is back to his/her way of life. The Mumbai carnage is slowly becoming history. Except for the print media, no other medium is interested anymore in this. Now is the time for the TV media to organise debates and involve the learned, experienced people on their panels and discuss what all should be done to avoid such an embarassment ever. Now is the time to introspect, think of new methods and try and implement these to safeguard the common man.

No one is trying to analyse as to whether the NSG got delayed. If yes, why? Who was responsible for the delay and how can it be avoided in a future operation. Why did so many Policemen die? What went wrong? What could have saved them while they performed their duty fearlessly? DGP Wirk has given a detailed interview to Pune Mirror, wherein he is supposed to have to some extent blamed the senior policemen for their own death. How far is it true? What could have been done, and now, what should be done to avoid recurrence of such incidents?

Instead of merely playing to the gallery, our experts and specialists should come together and discuss all the issues threadbare so as to reach a proper line of action - to get the best solution. Let these people think out of the box and not remain confined to the time tested theories.

IS ANYBODY LISTENING??

Need For Change?

Yes, there is an urgent need for change. The earlier it happens, lesser will be the damage to our democracy. Someone, while agreeing with me, has posted a big question.... but who will do it? I feel, you, me and each one of us can make the difference. Since we live in a democracy, we need to use the democratic route to achieve our aim. So what is the way out? Create a mass movement (or do we need anothet attack on one of our cities to create a mass movement?). Evereyone, RISE and let the media lap it up and we propose to field our future leaders those whom we feel fit to hold the important offices to run the affairs of our country. Can someoen help me publicise this and other such ideas and create a mass movement to request our honest citizens to contest the next elections. I have given some names those came to mind, and I will request each one who has spared a few moments to read what I have written, to add to the list. The names I thought of, are - Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Mr Ratan Tata, Mr Narayan Moorthy, Mr Nandan Nelikeni (I am not from Infosys), Mr Azim Premji, Mr Deveshwar, Nasiruddin Shah, Gulzar, Jawed Akhtar, Anupam Kher, Kiran Bedi, Gen JJ Singh, Arun Bhatia, Dr T Chandrashekhar, Rahul Gandhi, Milind Deora, Sushma Swaraj, P Chidambaram, Arun Jaitley, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Rajiv Pratap Rudi etc.....

NEED FOR CHANGE

Hi Firends,
I just read a beautiful piece written by Robyn Meredith , which I am reproducing below:

India's answer to Obama?
--> India's answer to Obama?-->
Fri, Dec 5 02:41 AM
Who could be India's Obama who could unite the country and march the nation forward at a traumatic time? US business magazine Forbes feels it is industry captain Ratan Tata.
"While it (India) has the sympathy of the world (after the recent attacks), India could have an Obama moment'one in which a leader, whose personal history epitomises the country's principles, marches forward to unite the country during its very moment of trauma. India has a chance now to get it right, but it needs a strong, credible leader to step up," Forbes said in a report.
"As an American, I don't get a vote in India, but if I did, mine would go to Ratan Tata," added the report written by Forbes magazine' Senior Editor (Asia) Robyn Meredith.
"He is not a politician, but he is the country's most respected business leader. His Tata Group owns the Taj hotel that was just attacked, but his family is just as connected to India's proud history as its shell-shocked present," Meredith wrote in a weekly column published online.
Posing the question whether should there be not a way to involve Tata at the highest level in the government, the report noted that "a fractured India" would immensely benefit from his acumen and constructive patriotism.
Meredith pointed out, "Should there not be a way to involve him in government at the highest level? A fractured India would benefit immeasurably from his acumen, his managerial skills, and his very obvious'but always constructive'patriotism."
Wondering what if the nation leapfrogged America's approach, the magazine pointed out that the political leap could be as successful as the country's technology.

This piece has made me think....... if such a thing was possible....????

I think, this time around, during elections, prominent citizens, educationists, industrialists, businessmen, social reformers, activists should contest elections and we should all vote them into power to be at the helm of affairs of INDIA.

Lets join together and make this a possibility and get these great patriots into governance. Probable list could include.... Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Ratan Tata, Azim Premji, Narayan Moorthy, P Chitambaram, and a whole lot of young turks from politics itself.

POLITICIANS WILL NEVER LEARN

Hi All,
The Chief Minister of Kerala went to Bangalore to meet the family of the slain hero Maj Unnikrishnan. He was shooed away and the late hero's father refused to meet him. Lots has been talked about and written about this since yestarday. The CM himself is non-apologetic for his blurtings..... "it was only due to Sandeep... or even dogs would not have looked that way." What does he mean? Is he worst than a dog? Please dont disrespect the dog... the most faithful of animals. The all India General Secretary of Communist Party Mr Karat has apologised for what the Kerala CM has said, but the CM himself is un-repentant. Now what should the public do?
I have a humble suggestion.... all people of Kerala march to the CM's house, get him out of his house by the collar and tell him that you dont need a CM of his level of intelligence and basic sense. He is totally unpatriotic. Hand him over to the Police to lodge cases against him.
The politicians need to learn, harder the way to learn, the better will it be.

AEROPLANES FOR NSG?

Hello friends,
The dissection exercise is on and everyone should contribute in this exercise. But the exercise should not remain in some dusty file in a dusty corner of a dusty government office. We, as a race have a very short memory, inspite of the terrorists and adversaries trying very hard to stir up the patriot in us. They have failed miserably. The blood from the floor of CST station, The Taj, Trident etc will have been washed by now and all will be back to normal, and wait for the next to happen... we never learn.
In a knee jerk reaction, it has been planned to buy two aeroplanes for NSG. Now, think before the Govt ink. Who will fly these aeroplanes? Who will maintain these flying birds? Where will they be positioned? It is easy to buy aircraft, but very difficult to maintain them, especially when they are in a short number of 2 - 4 aircraft.
First, pin responsibility on which agency was supposed to provide aircraft to NSG for such operations? Where was their aircraft? If it was unserviceable, who was responsible to provide replacement? Was that agency informed? What action did it take? First find who all or which all agencies failed in their allotted tasks. Take the top boss and the field personnel to task. Sack them and try them for treason. They intentionally did this to delay the deployment.
What were the intelligence agencies doing? The IB, the state CID, Crime Branch etc etc?? What task was to be performed by the Indian Navy, the Coast Guard in such a situation?? If they had a task and they failed to perform it, sack the top boss and the people in the field. If all these agencies had demanded equipment and manpower from the Govt., what did the Govt do? If the needle points towards them, sack them. Start with a clean slate. Or, wait for the next strike of terror. Choice is left to each Indian... what to do next. Stir up your inner self (antar-atma). Wake up, or you shall die in sleep. Jai Hind.
